So what do you change about a kite that actually already performs great? At Slingshot they are continuously testing new materials. For the Slingshot Machine V2, a new type of Dacron has been used that is not only considerably lighter than the old Dacron, but also a lot stiffer. This new Dacron material combined with the 5 struts ensure that the kite maintains its profile very well in strong wind. So whatever the condition, the Slingshot Machine V2 will stay super stable and give you all the confidence to get the most out of your session. The Machine is a hybrid Open-C canopy kite that brings hangtime and easy boosts. The fabric of the kite is made with 4X4 canopy tech. This canopy is made from Teijn 4X4 reinforced ripstop nylon which is one of the strongest, stiffest and most durable canopy on the market. In addition, the number of canopy panels used in the kite has been drastically reduced to significantly reduce weight for a more aerodynamic profile.

The Slingshot Machine V2 2023 has a “Streamlined Pulley-less Bridle System” The bridles no longer have pulleys, which makes the kite feel a lot more direct. Slingshot uses extremely thin static lines, which means the rider feels much less drag. The kite has different attachment points, so that the power and handling of the kite can be fine-tuned and riders can fully adapt the kite to their riding style.
