Since the first introduction of the North Pulse in 2020, this kite has immediately attracted a large group of kitesurfing fans. In short, the North Pulse 2021 is lighter, faster and stronger. But how did North achieve that? To start with, North has replaced much of the heavy Dacron canopy with a new lightweight, but super strong canopy, which makes the North Pulse steers faster and has an improved performance. This is particularly noticeable in the improved lift of the North Pulse 2021. In addition, the new material ensures that the profile of the North Pulse 2021 is more aerodynamic through a more gradual power transmission throughout the canopy. The Pulse 2021 therefore feels more balanced.

Also the bridles have been improved. The bridle lines of the North Pulse 2021 are made of the highest quality and the least stretchable material. In addition, the lines are thinner so that the kite has less drag with the air, steers more precisely and has a more direct feeling. Just like last year, the Pulse does not use pulleys.

Because durability is certainly not unimportant, the North Pulse 2021 is made of super solid materials. The canopy used for the North Pulse 2021 is Teijin D2 double ripstop, this is the most used kite surfing canopy on the market and has the best durability / weight ratio. On the leading edge, the seams are protected with a Duralite layer so that the seams on the LE cannot wear out. The struts are reinforced with Kevlar against the leading edge.
