3.0 Water ear protection

The new generation of earplugs for kite surfing and surfing

Surfing and kite surfing is fun, and you would almost think that there are no disadvantages. Yet there is one lurking annoying danger, the surfers ear also called swimmers ear. A surfers ear or swimmers ear occurs when your ear canal is exposed to cold water and wind. The combination of water and wind ensures that a surfer”s ear can develop extra quickly. Surfers ear is a physical response to protect the ear canal from water and wind. A new bone is growing in your ear canal, as it were, to protect the eardrum. The first symptom is that water often lingers in your ear, which is annoying. But it gets more annoying when the symptoms get worse, like often painful infected ears. A surfers ear can be removed temporarily by surgery but always comes back and the operation is risky. Therefore, use SurfEars to protect your ears preventively.

Better fit, more comfort

The new 3.0 SurfEars fit even better than the previous SurfEars. Because your left and right ear are different, there is now a plug for your left and right ear. This can also be seen clearly through the different colors. In addition, the composition of the gel is adjusted to close the ear even better for water. An extra size plug has been added to the size chart so now there is an L, M, S and XS plug available.

Reinforced mesh

The mesh on the outside of the SurfEars, where the sound goes through and the water does not, did sometimes break for the 2.0 version. In the new 3.0 SurfEars the mesh is made extra strong with a new construction behind the mesh so you can not pierce it with your finger anymore.

In addition to the better fit and stronger mesh, there are a number of other minor changes. The leash is thicker and therefore stronger. You can also easily discard the string from the SurfEars to wear the SurfEars without string. The packaging has been renewed and now has an eco-friendly case with easy magnetic closure.
